GT have again been favoured with handling the total import logistics for the New Zealand round of the Asia Pacific Rally Championship series held in Whangerei. Multiple sea freight containers and air consignments of rally cars, spares, tyres and wheels went through our depot in the last week and turned us into ‘Rally Central’ HQ with some of the overseas teams being on hand to assist with the unpacking and MPI inspections prior to everything being delivered North. At the conclusion of the event, GT will oversee the re-export of some of the containers to Australia whilst others head to New Caledonia for the next round of the APRC championship there.

The New Zealand Festival of Motor Racing has become an iconic ‘kiwi summer’ motorsports event attracting entrants from around the world. This year’s festival celebrated Denny Hulme, and GT International Logistics Ltd was proud to again be associated with the event, and involved in the logistics of shipping 70-plus historic race cars from the UK, Europe, Australia and the USA - and of course ‘back home’ again at the conclusion of the festival. Significant planning and expertise is required to ensure each car and it’s spares arrives in good time and is ready to race once the drivers themselves get to NZ. Our ability to smoothly and efficiently co-ordinate the many facets involved, confirms what others say – GT Logistics is the pre-eminent motorsports logistics provider in the New Zealand! See: NZ Festival of Motor Racing for details.
