What is project cargo?

That's the term for any cargo shipped by air or sea which doesn't fall within standard shipping methods, such as over-height or oversize cargo which requires special equipment for handling. It's often unique in almost every instance, and a well planned, custom solution is required. Our services will cover everything you need door to door.

What details do you need?

For all items that are oversize and/or overweight we will need full dimensions and in many cases drawings. These enable us to see available lifting points with centres of gravity so we can calculate any savings that can be made through different loading configurations. For parts of your project which can be containerised a detailed packing list won't be necessary.

As well as a detailed packing list, we also need to know when your shipments need to arrive on site.

Location issues

We will need to know if there are any special requirements for the site. These might include:

• Acceptance times for deliveries
• Security clearances
• What equipment is already on site to handle lifting if required
• Whether a road survey is required
